Beating twenty-five other contestants, Emmanuella Duke, recently emerged winner of this year’s Face of Candy City beauty pageant, which held at the Astoria Event Centre, Lekki, Lagos.
The pageant kicked off with a wow performance by young Atilogu dancers and music performance from new kid on the block, Neo Phlames who thrilled the crowd with afro pop styled song ‘Good Lover’ and ‘That’.
After the parades, judges, namely Francis Ekwenzi aka Mr Universe 2014, Kelechi and actress Nicole Banner scored Miss Emmanella Dike as the winner.
Others winners were Miss Lagos- Ruth Abulimen (Face of CandyCity Universe 2017), Miss Anambra- Pet Chika (Face of CandyCity Nigeria Tourism 2017) and Miss Yobe- Elshamah Benson (Face of CandyCity Nigeria Top Model 2017)
The pageant was sponsored by fashion house GMYT, Christabel Makeover, Studio 24, The Skin Centre and Stylenet International, a hair marketing and salon company owned by Mrs Goodness Okwo.
According to the CEO of CandyCity Entertainment, Mr. Oforma Divine; “Nigeria is blessed with beautiful girls who can compete in looks with modelling stars anywhere in the world, but until they are discovered, the world will not know they exist,” Divine said.
