But the Lodios technical team said the website is all about the entertainment business.
“Lodios means more than music, movies or comedy,” said the team.
“It seeks to bridge the divide between content providers and distributors while providing seamless streaming through partnership with Main One which is also the host for the website. It is a Video on Demand (VOD) platform which comprises of videos, audios and sponsored channels with an additional ‘startup’ feature intended to aid upcoming artistes showcase their talents ad get feedback.”
Nollywood/Kannywood actor and musician, Sani Danja, who was a guest at the event thanked all those involved saying; “It seems like a dream come true to those of us in the North because sometimes before we are done producing some individuals have already started selling, but with a platform like this where we can monitor our works from the minute we upload till wen we are ready to cash out I believe this is here to stay.”
Another guest and content partner,
Tade Ogidan, a Screenwriter, Producer and Director, who is also a content partner of Lodios, said: “We have seen all sorts so I tend to be very slow in joining forces; but with better understanding of the processes and objectives of Lodios, it gradually began to make sense. The success of this platform therefore lies with all of us. It is our own and it is our responsibility to promote it.”
Highlife musician, Sunny Neji said: “This gives some sort of guarantee for our money invested. At a time when physical distribution is dwindling, this will serve as an ample form of digital distribution with money-back guarantee.”
A filmmaker and producer, Zeb Ejiro, showed his excitement by saying he was all for the scheme.
“I am in; super-in,” Ejiro said.
“Lodios is secure, revenue is guaranteed because from day one you can see the progression of your work. You have no business with pirates and all. I am very excited.”
